1. About Cancerosion
Cancerosion is a cancer coaching and research service founded in 2012 by an ICF-certified professional coach with a background in medical biology and cancer research management. We provide evidence-based coaching and personalized research services to individuals navigating a cancer diagnosis, with a focus on newly diagnosed patients within their first 30 days of diagnosis.
We operate in alignment with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics and the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. These ethical frameworks shape how we deliver services, maintain confidentiality, and uphold the dignity of every client.
2. Scope of Services
2.1 What We Provide
Cancerosion offers the following types of services:
-
The Informed Hope Project: A 15-day intensive coaching program designed to help newly diagnosed cancer patients gain clarity, direction, and actionable next steps during the early phase of their diagnosis.
-
Cancerosion Insight Navigator: A 7-day personalized research report that provides curated, evidence-based information tailored to your specific diagnosis, treatment landscape, and questions.
-
The C.A.N.C.E.R.O.S.I.O.N. Method: A structured coaching framework for cancer survivors who have completed treatment and want to prevent recurrence and build a sustainable post-treatment life.
-
Email Coaching: Asynchronous coaching delivered via email for clients who prefer written communication or supplemental support between sessions.
-
Additional Services: We may also offer educational programs, group coaching, speaking engagements, and organizational consulting. Terms specific to these services will be communicated at the time of enrollment or engagement.
2.2 What We Do Not Provide
Cancerosion is a coaching and research service. Our Services are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not and cannot:
-
Diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
-
Prescribe medications, supplements, diets, or specific treatment protocols.
-
Provide psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health treatment.
-
Offer legal, financial, or insurance advice.
-
Replace the advice of your oncologist, primary care physician, or any licensed healthcare professional.
We strongly encourage all clients to maintain an active relationship with their medical team throughout and beyond their engagement with Cancerosion. Our coaching process is designed to complement, not replace, professional medical care.
3. Client Responsibilities and Informed Consent
By engaging with our Services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
-
You are voluntarily participating in coaching and/or research services offered by Cancerosion.
-
You understand that coaching is a collaborative, client-driven process focused on goal-setting, action planning, personal growth, and navigating the cancer experience; not a medical, therapeutic, or clinical intervention.
-
You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and outcomes. Cancerosion does not guarantee specific results from coaching or research services.
-
You will not rely on any information provided during coaching sessions or research reports as a substitute for professional medical advice. You will consult your healthcare provider before making any health-related decisions.
-
You will communicate openly and honestly with your coach, including disclosing any information that may be relevant to the safe and effective delivery of coaching services.
-
You are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use our Services.
-
The information you provide during intake, sessions, and all communications is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
4. The Coaching Relationship
4.1 Nature of the Relationship
The relationship between you and your Cancerosion coach is a professional coaching partnership governed by ICF ethical standards. Your coach will serve as a thought partner, facilitator, and accountability resource: not as an advisor, therapist, or medical provider. The coaching process is built on mutual respect, trust, and the understanding that you are the expert on your own life.
4.2 Coaching Agreement
Before beginning any coaching program, you may be asked to sign an individual Coaching Agreement that outlines the specific terms of your engagement, including program duration, session frequency, communication methods, fees, and any other relevant details. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and an individual Coaching Agreement, the Coaching Agreement shall govern with respect to the specific services covered.
4.3 Referral and Scope Boundaries
If, during the coaching process, it becomes apparent that your needs fall outside the scope of coaching, including but not limited to medical, psychological, legal, or financial matters, your coach may recommend that you seek appropriate professional support. This is consistent with ICF and NBHWC ethical obligations and is intended to protect your well-being.
5. Scheduling, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
5.1 Scheduling
Coaching sessions are scheduled through our online booking system at www.cancerosion.org/book-online or by contacting us directly. Sessions are conducted virtually via secure video conferencing, phone, or email, depending on your selected service.
5.2 Cancellation and Rescheduling
We understand that life during a cancer diagnosis can be unpredictable. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client and to schedule a make-up session for you.
-
Cancellations made with 24 or more hours’ notice: The session will be rescheduled at no additional charge within the program timeframe.
-
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or no-shows: The session may be forfeited and counted as completed. Exceptions may be made at our discretion for emergencies or health-related circumstances.
-
Repeated no-shows or late cancellations: After two consecutive no-shows or late cancellations, we reserve the right to discuss the continuation of the coaching engagement and, if necessary, terminate the agreement per Section 10.
5.3 Refund Policy
Due to the personalized and time-intensive nature of our services:
-
The Informed Hope Project: If you wish to discontinue participation before the midpoint of the program (Day 7), you may request a prorated refund for unused sessions. Refund requests made after Day 7 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
-
Cancerosion Insight Navigator: Because research work begins immediately upon engagement, refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of purchase. After research has commenced, fees are non-refundable.
-
Email Coaching and Other Services: Refund eligibility will be governed by the terms of the specific service agreement or package purchased.
All refund requests should be submitted in writing to hello@cancerosion.org. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days.
6. Fees and Payment
Service fees are displayed on our website and/or communicated to you prior to enrollment. All fees are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
-
Payment is due at the time of booking or according to the payment schedule outlined in your Coaching Agreement or service package.
-
We accept payment via credit card, debit card, and other methods made available through our payment processor.
-
All payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant third-party payment processors. Cancerosion does not store your full credit card information on our servers.
-
If a payment fails or is declined, we will notify you and may suspend services until payment is received.
-
We reserve the right to adjust pricing for future services. Any pricing changes will not affect services already purchased or in progress.
7. Confidentiality
Confidentiality is foundational to the coaching relationship. In accordance with ICF and NBHWC ethical guidelines:
-
All information shared during coaching sessions, intake forms, and related communications is treated as strictly confidential.
-
Your coach will not disclose any personal, health-related, or session-specific information to any third party without your explicit written consent, except where required by law.
-
Exceptions to confidentiality: We may be required to break confidentiality if there is a credible threat of harm to you or another person, if we become aware of abuse or neglect of a minor or vulnerable adult, or if required by court order or other legal process.
-
Anonymized, de-identified information may be used for quality improvement, professional development, or aggregate reporting purposes. No individually identifiable information will be disclosed in such contexts.
For full details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, please review our Privacy Policy at www.cancerosion.org/privacy-policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time if:
-
You breach any provision of these Terms or your individual Coaching Agreement.

In the event of termination by Cancerosion, we will provide referrals to appropriate professionals where possible and process any refunds due under Section 5.3.
11. Assumption of Risk
Coaching and personal development work can bring up strong emotions, challenge existing beliefs, and require significant personal effort. By engaging with our Services, you acknowledge and accept that:

The coaching process may involve discussions about sensitive topics including your cancer diagnosis, treatment decisions, relationships, mortality, and personal values.
-
You are voluntarily participating in this process and are aware that emotional responses are a normal part of growth and reflection.
-
Cancerosion is not liable for any emotional distress, personal decisions, or outcomes that result from your participation in coaching or your use of research reports.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cancerosion, its founder, coaches, employees, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, data, health outcomes, emotional distress, or any other damages arising from or related to:

We will make a good-faith effort to resolve any dispute within sixty (60) days of receiving your written notice.
15.2 Binding Arbitration
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within sixty (60) days, it shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Miami-Dade County, Florida, unless the parties mutually agree to a different location or virtual proceedings. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
15.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Cancerosion.

In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to resume services as soon as practicable and may offer rescheduled sessions or alternative arrangements.
17. Modifications to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective Date” and “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will provide at least thirty (30) days’ notice via our website or by email before the new terms take effect.
Your continued use of our Site or Services after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should discontinue use of the Site and Services and contact us to discuss termination of any active engagement.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
19. Waiver
No failure or delay by Cancerosion in exercising any right, power, or remedy under these Terms shall operate as a waiver of that right, power, or remedy. A waiver of any provision on one occasion shall not constitute a waiver of that provision on any subsequent occasion or of any other provision.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Copyright and Disclaimer, any individual Coaching Agreement, and any other legal notices published on the Site, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cancerosion regarding your use of the Site and Services.
